Playbook : Blackberry tablet review

Oh yeah! Finally showed its face. RIM’s highly anticipated tablet is a reality and has just been submitted by Mike Lazaridis in the BlackBerry Developer Conference 2010. The tablet, dubbed Playbook, goes still under development but already made official that characterize specifications, with a dual core Cortex A9 at 1GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 7 inch screen – the new size of fashionable ? – e-reader function, support for 1080p video, full of documents and editor absolute synchronization with your BlackBerry (we expected no less). It also has HDMI output, USB and thickness will be about 9.7 10 mm interesting.

The PlayBook will have a 7-inch screen, making it half the size of the iPad, and weigh about 400 grams (14 ounces) to the iPad’s 680 grams (1.5 pounds). And unlike the iPad, it will have two cameras, front and back.

The PlayBook will be able to act as a second, larger screen for a BlackBerry phone, through a secure short-range wireless link. When the connection is severed – perhaps because the user walks away with the phone – no sensitive data like company e-mails are left on the tablet. Outside of Wi-Fi range, it will be able to pick up cellular service to access the Web by linking to a BlackBerry.

Based on a platform developed by QNX, enjoy OpenGL support POSIX, and even dares to suggest that flirts with the gaming market, almost nothing. In the words of Lazaris this is “the first professional tablet” plus “a magnified view of what you see on your BlackBerry.” In short you enumerate in detail all its features, but to go by mouth, then you have an image gallery and a video waiting after the jump.

Update: No sooner said than done. Already have a waiting list of detailed after the jump, among which niceties such as multitasking, your BlackBerry Tablet OS with support for multiple platforms or integrated dual camera (front and rear) with 1080 recording. Furthermore, we let a second gallery with more images of the tablet where you can know a little better. You’re taking time to review it with us.
