The simple introduce about Battery Life

Each battery has a limited life, no matter what device is power. Batteries are not different than normal cells, except they are a finite number of times recharging. Under normal rechargeable batteries have a shelf life of 250-500 charge cycles (depending on type used).

The lithium-ion Laptop batteries are chemically degrade over time and temperature. Once the battery cells are the "clock is ticking product." The battery life lasts depends on how the company (ie, remain cool, and he never left in a discharged state for months at a time).

Keep laptops and Tablet PCs as fresh as possible and store about 50% charge level or higher. A battery was at 40 ° C in full sun to deteriorate much faster than at 20 ° C in a refrigerator. For example, if you do not fully charge the Toshiba PA3534U-1BRS battery if it is kept for one year at 40 ° C only has a capacity of 65% at the end of the year. It is, after only one year to 65%, as it did when it was news! However, if you save it under a load of 40% at 25 ° C or less for one year, which will have a capacity of 96% at the end of the year - that is, as new!

Make sure there is enough ventilation around a laptop computer and prevent them in an enclosed space over, unless adequate ventilation can be ensured. This is because the network will be able to continue to discharge heat, so they are, and that the air around the Toshiba PA3356U-3BRS battery and notebook battery while in the heat. If you have multiple laptops or Tablet PC and the adapter into an enclosed space, the batteries are kept warm for long periods. In particular, the power at the top or near the battery compartment during use or the tax has a negative impact on battery life is only six months.

If a lithium-ion Toshiba PA3465U-1BRS Battery is always kept fresh, which should last several years. If stored at high temperatures for most of his life, and especially, much more than a year. This is why most manufacturers do not guarantee the battery for a period of three months and one year (maximum).

For the same reason, never buy a spare battery for use later this year or next year. The lithium-ion Toshiba PA3450U-1BRS batteries begin to degrade when they are executed. So just buy a new battery if you need to use it.

For laptops stored for long periods (six months or more, for example), charge (ideally 50% or more but not less than 40%) and remove them from the laptop before putting it in a place expenses (but not below five degrees entigrade). This process of reducing the degradation of the battery during storage.

A charger for disposable batteries?

Alkaline-manganese Laptop batteries (disposable batteries) recharge instead of throwing away

RE_300

Even now, the most widely used batteries: alkaline manganese batteries, causing thousands of tonnes of hazardous waste annually.

According to a Eurostat statistics in Germany alone, on an annual 1.5 billion laptop batteries on the market. These batteries cause a waste of about 8,000 tons with the largest share, about 70%, attributable to alkaline batteries. A waste disposal directive of the European Parliament and working on batteries and accumulators are now even before the minimum collection targets for spent batteries and accumulators of 25% or 45%, which are to be achieved but not until the year 2012 and 2016th

By using a battery charger for alkaline batteries per year could be at least 2,500 tons of battery waste be prevented in Germany alone. This corresponds to about 250 trucks laden with 10 tonnes of small alkaline batteries. Not only the environment would be spared, special saved a lot of money.

The Dutch company imported sand floor Imports and sells throughout Europe now such a charger which has been specially developed for alkaline manganese batteries. This battery charger is very easy and safe to handle and can of course also the modern rechargeable HP Pavilion DV9000 batteries.

With this easy to use and inexpensive battery charger, the so-called disposable batteries to be recharged easily and safely. In general, a HP Pavilion DV8000 battery capacity of up to 90% of the initial capacity is reached.

According to Managing Director Floris de Brouwer, the current response from dealers and consumers was very positive and demonstrated the great value of this Dell Inspiron 1520 battery charger.

Protect our Earth : Do not Throw your money away , protect the environment and load their disposable batteries just now again.

Laptop Batteries lose power

Q: When I lost power last week, my laptop six years ago, abruptly closed, even though the Compaq Presario CQ40 battery supposedly had a good full charge for three hours. If the battery has a problem?

A: Yes, lithium-ion batteries in most laptops lose capacity after each cycle of loading and unloading.

How much?

Hewlett-Packard estimated that these models are 80 percent of their original capacity "after 300 cycles or about one year reduced the use." Dell recommends that most people "significant" drop in to see the life of the battery after 18-24 months. And Apple says its batteries will be reduced to 80 percent of capacity after 300 cycles, while inaccessible units in your new laptop will take 1000 cycles to reach that point.

I have seen a significant reduction in the lifetime of Presario CQ50 batteries, only a few years. After six years? Forget it - the battery is gone. Get a new considering the purchase of an aftermarket dealer may charge less than the original manufacturer.

Q: I need to move files between a Mac and a PC. Which disc formats do I need?

A: The easiest way is the one used in most of the removable disk in Windows, FAT32 (the letters for "File Allocation Table stand"). can read and write Mac and PC and discs in this format. Almost all internal hard drives used by Windows, however, a higher capacity version called NTFS (NT File System), Apple Mac can read but need the help of additional software, such as free MacFuse to write it.

How to use a external monitor for your laptop

As we all know the laptop's advantage compare to Desktop is light and portable. Mst laptop's screen is between 12 - 17 inch. Generally the 17inch laptop is a little heavy (about 7 pounds), in the market 60% laptop are 15-16 inch wide screen. When we use our laptop to watch movie or play some 3D video game, the laptop small screen is the too small to work. So we use another 21-inch or bigger monitor as a external screen.

But how to use a external monitor for your laptop? The content below www.laptops-battery.co.uk take Dell Inspiron 1545 battery for example to introduce the detail step.

1. Buy a External monitor. You can buy a suitable size monitor for your need. Usually watch movie need 21-inch or more, playing Video game 19 inch screen is enough.

2.Buy a connect wire. Most laptops built today include an external monitor connection. Most are VGA, but some are starting to include DVI digital video connections instead. You just need to buy a VGA or DVI wire to connect the laptop to monitor.

3. Connect one end of the DVI or VGA cord to the DVI or VGA port of your laptop and the other end to the monitor. Your laptop (XPS M1210 battery) should automatically identify the external monitor as a new hardware device.

4. Active the external monitor. They are not enabled by default. You need to take action to send video out that port. Typically, and this varies from laptop to laptop, however is often either: Fn + F3, F4, F5, F8, or F9. The function key will often be labeled as CRT/LCD and/or have a picture of a monitor on the key or close to the key.

5. Close the laptop screen. Some laptops also have the ability to have the display on both the laptop and external display and/or one or the other at a single time. Laptops with this ability can switch between these modes by continuing to press the same function keys until in the mode the user wants. Dell Inspiron 6400 battery also is Fn + F7.

6. Set the new resolution or "size" pixels in laptop Display setting. As the likelihood of the LCD and the external monitor being the same resolution or "size" in pixels is very low. Unless the monitor is detected or setup in the operating system, it may not work properly or will only display at the default resolution. If you wish to change the external display's resolution, make sure the monitor is detected by the operating system.

In the end I suggest you do not use your laptop battery when using external monitor. It may exhaust your laptop battery power in 1 hours or less.

Save money in replacing laptop battery

Was your laptop battery completely dead? Well, do not throw them away at the moment. You have several options to return to the track and use your notebook or laptop. You could be paying a cost of 40 $, which is typical for the cost of a replacement battery.

A word of warning, I would not buy a new replacement unless the Sony VGP-BPS9/B battery is completely useless, and is on the way to recycling.

Ok The cheaper alternative is to replace the Cell Pack in the XPS M1330 Battery. So you have to remove the battery from your laptop. Proceed to open the package carefully, using a screwdriver should be fine. Inside are a number of battery Cells.

If they are leaking then you may consider stopping this process. If they continue I must stress to be very careful.

Ok now you must identify the replacement XPS M1530 Battery (cells) and note exactly how they are connected. You should verify that the cells are dead by testing with a multimeter or other device.

Once you have identified which one is dead and need to replace, should have a slightly higher milliampere value the old. After receiving the replacements you need to do any welding, using safety equipment and make sure that all connections are intact. At this moment, you should try the new batteries to ensure they operate properly.

Place the Inspiron 1520 Battery case back together and seal. Place the unit back into the laptop and start enjoying your laptop.

How to Recondition the computer battery

Every day, millions of laptop batteries in worldwide are dropped just because they died. Batteries of cars, motorcycles, heavy machinery, trucks, golf carts and those used in hospitals, military and industrial farms are discarded unnecessarily.

That are caused by the battery stop holding the charge and producing electricity.

There are many ways to recondition Dell laptop battery. Many people choose to recondition using household tools and many people have decided to make a profession by inventing new devices to recondition the batteries.

A common way of reconditioning battery is to leave the battery in the freezer of the fridge overnight and put back in place to recharge. This is been tested available in Sony VGP-BPS9/B VGP-BPS9/S. Usually 2-3 cycles of this exercise makes a battery of 300 minutes (three hours). Maybe they think they can break the crystals of sulphation by hitting hard on the floor!?

Some industry professionals have invented battery chargers, which have a refurbishment option as well. For example, Cheetah Universal Smart Charger with the MP2000 Cups. They work very well and if pre-conditioned the batteries in the fridge, then they can recondition the Toshiba PA3534U-1BRS battery better.

NickelCadmium (NiCd) cells are very common batteries used in computers. They arise from the development through the bike. In the process of cycling, the battery is charged and discharged throughout the range of normal operation.

The batteries of modern vehicles are complex and need care while reconditioning. The Dell latitude D820 batteries contain dangerous acids as electrolyte. Therefore, by abusing the battery, the absolute majority caution should be taken.

The most important thing is to know that the battery too. Testing the battery from time to time for optimal use. It protects the environment such as battery recycling and save your money in stead of replace new batteries. One can even earn money in professional battery reconditioning.

85Wh Lithium-Ion Dell Vostro 1500 notebook battery review

The Dell Vostro 1500 is the small business equivalent of the Inspiron 1520. The Dell Vostro 1500 is available with a range of Intel processors (from the 1.86GHz Celeron M M540 up to the T7500 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo). There are two 15.4" screen offerings, a 1280x800 WXGA and 1440x900 WXGA+ display. The Vostro 1500 battery standard battery is a 6Cell 56Wh battery that only can last 3 hours. But the Dell produce a 9Cell primary 9Cell 85Whr battery.

The 9Cell Dell Vostro 1500 battery tech specs:

  • Technology : 9-cell lithium ion

  • Capacity : 85Wh

  • Voltage: 11.1V

  • Dimension: 209.90 x 69.80 x 20.40 mm

  • Weight: 589.68 g

  • Compatible with : Dell Inspiron 1520 battery , Inspiron 1720, Vostro 1500, Vostro 1700 etc

  • This product comes with 1 year limited warranty.

The Battery is a 9Cell primary laptop battery more powerful than the original 6Cell battery. It's standby time is 7 hours but in battery4.us test it only can work 5 hours or less (longer than the 3 hours 6cell original battery). Its price is $155.99 (1 year warranty), in my lasr Using dell laptop experience its life maybe 13-14 month in normal conditon. That means you pay 0.37$ a day.

The Vostro 1500 battery customer review

This battery quickly loses his life only a year or so. My Dell laptop battery is now only 1 to 1.25 hours now for what should have been 5-7 hours. The replacements are too expensive for the life of these batteries.

I paid for this supposed "more lives" to 7 hours of extra battery and keeps a maximum of 1.5 hours. Even so you know, this is very heavy and the battery protruding about an inch from the back of your computer. I bought Vostro regular batteries for another two who had bought for the family and free these laptops last longer and better than ever my job. Given the terrible experience that I am with Dell Vostro had about the disease, does not surprise me somehow, this battery is a failure too.

7h Dell Vostro 1500 battery was announced, more than four hours with minimal power consumption, perhaps for a week and went from there quickly to 2.5 hours of use ... and went below. Questions about this technical support, that it was "normal" spent over 50 times and no one would help me even with 3 years replacement warranty and accidental damage coverage.

Battery completely dead, it is not broke charges fail within 1 year and 1 month and cancel the warranty. that there are no objections, said that 39% of the Dell vostro 1700 battery, but when I connect my, my computer dies immediately. Expensive to buy

I have a Dell Vostro 1500. My old Dell Vostro 1500 battery only 30 minutes available, so I decided it was time to get a new one. I was cautious about buying battery Pyrus electronics because it was so cheap. However, the battery came on time and works perfectly well. If the battery is fully charged, I get about five minutes to seven hours of electricity (depending on screen brightness, running programs, etc.).

10 **Better** cheap and easy upgrades for your old PC

In response to a submission on digg.com entitled “10 cheap and easy upgrades for your old PC”, user gaqua posted a “better” list in the comments that I found funny enough to want to give it its own post on my meaningless blog.

Here's a better list.

1 - Clean up your shit, dad. I'm tired of coming over and finding a new toolbar on IE or Firefox every time. I'm tired of thirty icons in the systray, half of which have some bizarre relevance to programs that are no longer installed. Go to add/remove programs, and remove anything you don't use in your Apple PowerBook G4 Battery.

2 - Defrag that shit. 74% fragmented. SERIOUSLY? How is that even possible? I'm scheduling this for every Wednesday night at 10pm dad. I know it's going to freak you out when it starts doing this all on its own but just leave it alone and let it do its magic.

3 - 512MB of RAM? Do you know how cheap RAM of Sony VGP-BPS2C is? PC2700 DDR1? Oh my God…I think I might throw up. For $50 I can get you to 2GB of RAM. $50.

4 - I'm installing Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy - your system has over 200 known spyware problems. I'm fixing them. I'm making this VGP-BPS9/B bulletproof. Don't fuck with it anymore. I'm installing AVG anti-virus. It's going to ask you to update it - UPDATE IT WHEN IT ASKS.

5 - Holy shit I can't believe this - you're running XP without even SP1 installed. I'm installing SP3 for Dell inspiron 1545 battery, Dad. It's a lot more secure. Jesus christ this is like the dark ages of computing.

6 - Oh fucking shit - 3 hours to download? What the fuck - you're still on that 512k DSL? Mom is paying for Cable! She's paying for Cable internet, Dad. I'm going to unplug this wire from the DSL modem and plug it into the cable modem Yeah. No it's very easy. And I'm calling AT&T and canceling DSL. There, I just saved you $50 a month. And yeah, the internet is faster.

7 - Oh look , you have a cutesy animated desktop background. Yeah, your celeron 1.6 GHz probably doesn't like that, especially with the 16MB integrated graphics. I'm going to turn that off. I know, I know. But it's best for everyone.

HOLY SHIT YOUR COMPUTER IS FASTER NOW DAD. Please, tell everyone in the family that you “don't know what he did but the computer is so much better, you should call him and have him come take a look, I'm sure he'd be happy to Vostro 1510 battery !”

There's nothing I love more than that, dad. I love fixing Uncle Butch's disgusting laptop with the inexplicably stained keys and I love playing around with the disgusting beige eMachine that Aunt Patsy uses to send all those cool inspirational email forwards with pictures of kittens or penguins or koalas or pandas.

No, I understand. As the oldest and most computer knowledgeable of Dell Latitude D420 Battery , it's my responsibility. Just like Uncle Mason would help us all out if we got into legal trouble right? Well, if he weren't disbarred for fraud, I mean.

New battery can not be fully charged

Generally the new battery can 100% fully discharge-charge. Last month I buy a latitude d820 battery replacement, as my work dont need to take the notebook out, so I use the notebook with the AC adapter and I store the battery in my drawer. Last Friday, I want to visite my customer with my notebook and show some business projects. So I charged my battery for a whole night, but I only see my battery 70% capacity state charged next morning. My battery is really new, why it can not be 100% charged?

So I query the battery expert Jack Smith that the reason "Why new battery can not be fully charged?". He said that : after the laptop battery not use for a long time, the battery charge must in the low current in the right system power option. And then he give me some adviese to set the power Option. Now I introduce the tips for my readers step by step with detail photos.

A .windows xp system:

1) Go to Start/Control Panel/Power Options and look for the "Alarms" tab.

2) Choose Low Sony VGP-BPS9 battery alarm and critical battery alarm to make the alarm operation to no operation untick the two boxes(see below picture)

3) Let it discharge the battery till the laptop automatically off.

4) Charge the Sony VGP-BPS9/B again.

Attention:Do as below:

B: Windows vistar system:

1) Go to Start/Control Panel/Power Options/Edit Plan Settings /Battery/Low battery action/Do nothing.

2) Let it discharge the Pavilion dv6000 Battery till the laptop automatically off.

3) Charge the battery again.

In the end if you still cant fully charge your laptop battery, you can calibrate the battery and then use the battery fresh program to refresh your battery to calibrate the battery charge-discharge time.
