How to Recondition the computer battery

Every day, millions of laptop batteries in worldwide are dropped just because they died. Batteries of cars, motorcycles, heavy machinery, trucks, golf carts and those used in hospitals, military and industrial farms are discarded unnecessarily.

That are caused by the battery stop holding the charge and producing electricity.

There are many ways to recondition Dell laptop battery. Many people choose to recondition using household tools and many people have decided to make a profession by inventing new devices to recondition the batteries.

A common way of reconditioning battery is to leave the battery in the freezer of the fridge overnight and put back in place to recharge. This is been tested available in Sony VGP-BPS9/B VGP-BPS9/S. Usually 2-3 cycles of this exercise makes a battery of 300 minutes (three hours). Maybe they think they can break the crystals of sulphation by hitting hard on the floor!?

Some industry professionals have invented battery chargers, which have a refurbishment option as well. For example, Cheetah Universal Smart Charger with the MP2000 Cups. They work very well and if pre-conditioned the batteries in the fridge, then they can recondition the Toshiba PA3534U-1BRS battery better.

NickelCadmium (NiCd) cells are very common batteries used in computers. They arise from the development through the bike. In the process of cycling, the battery is charged and discharged throughout the range of normal operation.

The batteries of modern vehicles are complex and need care while reconditioning. The Dell latitude D820 batteries contain dangerous acids as electrolyte. Therefore, by abusing the battery, the absolute majority caution should be taken.

The most important thing is to know that the battery too. Testing the battery from time to time for optimal use. It protects the environment such as battery recycling and save your money in stead of replace new batteries. One can even earn money in professional battery reconditioning.

85Wh Lithium-Ion Dell Vostro 1500 notebook battery review

The Dell Vostro 1500 is the small business equivalent of the Inspiron 1520. The Dell Vostro 1500 is available with a range of Intel processors (from the 1.86GHz Celeron M M540 up to the T7500 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo). There are two 15.4" screen offerings, a 1280x800 WXGA and 1440x900 WXGA+ display. The Vostro 1500 battery standard battery is a 6Cell 56Wh battery that only can last 3 hours. But the Dell produce a 9Cell primary 9Cell 85Whr battery.

The 9Cell Dell Vostro 1500 battery tech specs:

  • Technology : 9-cell lithium ion

  • Capacity : 85Wh

  • Voltage: 11.1V

  • Dimension: 209.90 x 69.80 x 20.40 mm

  • Weight: 589.68 g

  • Compatible with : Dell Inspiron 1520 battery , Inspiron 1720, Vostro 1500, Vostro 1700 etc

  • This product comes with 1 year limited warranty.

The Battery is a 9Cell primary laptop battery more powerful than the original 6Cell battery. It's standby time is 7 hours but in battery4.us test it only can work 5 hours or less (longer than the 3 hours 6cell original battery). Its price is $155.99 (1 year warranty), in my lasr Using dell laptop experience its life maybe 13-14 month in normal conditon. That means you pay 0.37$ a day.

The Vostro 1500 battery customer review

This battery quickly loses his life only a year or so. My Dell laptop battery is now only 1 to 1.25 hours now for what should have been 5-7 hours. The replacements are too expensive for the life of these batteries.

I paid for this supposed "more lives" to 7 hours of extra battery and keeps a maximum of 1.5 hours. Even so you know, this is very heavy and the battery protruding about an inch from the back of your computer. I bought Vostro regular batteries for another two who had bought for the family and free these laptops last longer and better than ever my job. Given the terrible experience that I am with Dell Vostro had about the disease, does not surprise me somehow, this battery is a failure too.

7h Dell Vostro 1500 battery was announced, more than four hours with minimal power consumption, perhaps for a week and went from there quickly to 2.5 hours of use ... and went below. Questions about this technical support, that it was "normal" spent over 50 times and no one would help me even with 3 years replacement warranty and accidental damage coverage.

Battery completely dead, it is not broke charges fail within 1 year and 1 month and cancel the warranty. that there are no objections, said that 39% of the Dell vostro 1700 battery, but when I connect my, my computer dies immediately. Expensive to buy

I have a Dell Vostro 1500. My old Dell Vostro 1500 battery only 30 minutes available, so I decided it was time to get a new one. I was cautious about buying battery Pyrus electronics because it was so cheap. However, the battery came on time and works perfectly well. If the battery is fully charged, I get about five minutes to seven hours of electricity (depending on screen brightness, running programs, etc.).

10 **Better** cheap and easy upgrades for your old PC

In response to a submission on digg.com entitled “10 cheap and easy upgrades for your old PC”, user gaqua posted a “better” list in the comments that I found funny enough to want to give it its own post on my meaningless blog.

Here's a better list.

1 - Clean up your shit, dad. I'm tired of coming over and finding a new toolbar on IE or Firefox every time. I'm tired of thirty icons in the systray, half of which have some bizarre relevance to programs that are no longer installed. Go to add/remove programs, and remove anything you don't use in your Apple PowerBook G4 Battery.

2 - Defrag that shit. 74% fragmented. SERIOUSLY? How is that even possible? I'm scheduling this for every Wednesday night at 10pm dad. I know it's going to freak you out when it starts doing this all on its own but just leave it alone and let it do its magic.

3 - 512MB of RAM? Do you know how cheap RAM of Sony VGP-BPS2C is? PC2700 DDR1? Oh my God…I think I might throw up. For $50 I can get you to 2GB of RAM. $50.

4 - I'm installing Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy - your system has over 200 known spyware problems. I'm fixing them. I'm making this VGP-BPS9/B bulletproof. Don't fuck with it anymore. I'm installing AVG anti-virus. It's going to ask you to update it - UPDATE IT WHEN IT ASKS.

5 - Holy shit I can't believe this - you're running XP without even SP1 installed. I'm installing SP3 for Dell inspiron 1545 battery, Dad. It's a lot more secure. Jesus christ this is like the dark ages of computing.

6 - Oh fucking shit - 3 hours to download? What the fuck - you're still on that 512k DSL? Mom is paying for Cable! She's paying for Cable internet, Dad. I'm going to unplug this wire from the DSL modem and plug it into the cable modem Yeah. No it's very easy. And I'm calling AT&T and canceling DSL. There, I just saved you $50 a month. And yeah, the internet is faster.

7 - Oh look , you have a cutesy animated desktop background. Yeah, your celeron 1.6 GHz probably doesn't like that, especially with the 16MB integrated graphics. I'm going to turn that off. I know, I know. But it's best for everyone.

HOLY SHIT YOUR COMPUTER IS FASTER NOW DAD. Please, tell everyone in the family that you “don't know what he did but the computer is so much better, you should call him and have him come take a look, I'm sure he'd be happy to Vostro 1510 battery !”

There's nothing I love more than that, dad. I love fixing Uncle Butch's disgusting laptop with the inexplicably stained keys and I love playing around with the disgusting beige eMachine that Aunt Patsy uses to send all those cool inspirational email forwards with pictures of kittens or penguins or koalas or pandas.

No, I understand. As the oldest and most computer knowledgeable of Dell Latitude D420 Battery , it's my responsibility. Just like Uncle Mason would help us all out if we got into legal trouble right? Well, if he weren't disbarred for fraud, I mean.

New battery can not be fully charged

Generally the new battery can 100% fully discharge-charge. Last month I buy a latitude d820 battery replacement, as my work dont need to take the notebook out, so I use the notebook with the AC adapter and I store the battery in my drawer. Last Friday, I want to visite my customer with my notebook and show some business projects. So I charged my battery for a whole night, but I only see my battery 70% capacity state charged next morning. My battery is really new, why it can not be 100% charged?

So I query the battery expert Jack Smith that the reason "Why new battery can not be fully charged?". He said that : after the laptop battery not use for a long time, the battery charge must in the low current in the right system power option. And then he give me some adviese to set the power Option. Now I introduce the tips for my readers step by step with detail photos.

A .windows xp system:

1) Go to Start/Control Panel/Power Options and look for the "Alarms" tab.

2) Choose Low Sony VGP-BPS9 battery alarm and critical battery alarm to make the alarm operation to no operation untick the two boxes(see below picture)

3) Let it discharge the battery till the laptop automatically off.

4) Charge the Sony VGP-BPS9/B again.

Attention:Do as below:

B: Windows vistar system:

1) Go to Start/Control Panel/Power Options/Edit Plan Settings /Battery/Low battery action/Do nothing.

2) Let it discharge the Pavilion dv6000 Battery till the laptop automatically off.

3) Charge the battery again.

In the end if you still cant fully charge your laptop battery, you can calibrate the battery and then use the battery fresh program to refresh your battery to calibrate the battery charge-discharge time.
